Why source it here: the compounds come with real COAs

Bacteriostatic water is the diluent — the compounds you reconstitute with it are what matter. Published third-party certificates of analysis from Freedom Diagnostics and Janoshik are available in our open library. Check the compound and strength for available reports you can open and verify.

BAC water is the diluent — here's what you reconstitute with it

Bacteriostatic water dissolves the lyophilized powder; the research compound is the actual subject of study. These are among the most-referenced compounds researchers pair it with:

Reconstitution concentration calculator

Work out the concentration before you open anything: enter the compound mass in the vial and the volume of bacteriostatic water you plan to add, and this returns the resulting concentration in mg/mL and mcg per 0.1 mL.

Frequently asked questions

What is bacteriostatic water?

Bacteriostatic water is sterile, non-pyrogenic water with 0.9% (9 mg/mL) benzyl alcohol added as a preservative. The benzyl alcohol suppresses microbial growth, which is what lets a multi-dose vial be re-entered for repeated draws. In the laboratory it is the standard diluent used to reconstitute lyophilized research peptides into solution. It is a consumable, not a research compound itself.

What sizes and prices do you stock?

Single vials: 10 mL is $15 crypto; 3 mL is $10 crypto, both US-FL stock shipped from Florida — 2–4 days in the US, longer internationally. Kits of 10 vials: the 10 mL 10-pack is $100 crypto and the 3 mL 10-pack is $60 crypto, both shipped from the overseas facility.

Do I need a prescription or account to order?

No prescription and no account — check out as a guest. Crypto prices shown. Other payment methods are priced at checkout. Save your order, then follow the payment instructions for your chosen available method. Bacteriostatic water is sold here strictly as a laboratory consumable for research use only, alongside research compounds, and is not described for any human or veterinary use.

How long does bacteriostatic water last once opened?

Unopened, it lasts until the printed expiry, commonly two to three years. Once the stopper is first punctured, the standard multi-dose beyond-use convention is about 28 days, after which the vial is discarded regardless of remaining volume. This is lab consumable hygiene, not a human dosing cadence. See how long bacteriostatic water lasts for the full breakdown.

Where to buy bacteriostatic water for peptides?

Here, as a laboratory consumable for reconstituting research peptides: 10 mL and 3 mL US-FL singles, plus 10-packs from the overseas facility. Guest checkout; follow your saved order’s payment instructions. Research use only — not for human or veterinary use.

Bacteriostatic water vs sterile water — what's the difference?

The only substantive difference is the preservative. Sterile Water for Injection has no preservative and is single-use. Bacteriostatic water is that same sterile water plus 0.9% benzyl alcohol, which makes it a multi-dose container that tolerates repeated draws for aliquoting. More in bacteriostatic vs sterile water.

Bacteriostatic water research library

For laboratory and research use only. Not for human or animal consumption. Bacteriostatic water is a laboratory consumable (sterile water with ~0.9% benzyl alcohol); this page is educational information about that consumable and is not medical advice, dosing guidance, or a claim that any compound treats, prevents, or benefits any condition.
